WNC has begun developing defence technology in support of Ukraine. We are building two things: resilient embedded radio systems and aerostats β tethered aerial platforms for persistent communications and surveillance.
On a modern battlefield, the link between units is jammed, blocked by terrain, or tied to infrastructure that can be destroyed. That is the problem we are working on.
Electronic warfare degrades or denies standard radios exactly when units need them most.
Line-of-sight links break across hills, treelines and the long distances of the front.
Comms tied to fixed towers and infrastructure go down the moment they are targeted.
Radio on the ground, relay in the air. Together they keep units connected and commanders informed.
Compact, software-defined radios with anti-jam waveforms and encrypted mesh networking β engineered to keep units connected when the electromagnetic environment is hostile.
Tethered aerial platforms that lift sensors and radio relays high above the terrain β extending communications range and providing continuous surveillance without a satellite or aircraft.
Low-level SDR & RF firmware for compact, field-deployable transceivers.
Frequency-hopping and anti-jam waveforms designed for contested spectrum.
End-to-end encrypted, self-healing mesh links between units in the field.
Ruggedised, low-power embedded modules built for battlefield conditions.
Elevated relay payloads that extend radio range far beyond ground line-of-sight.
Persistent surveillance from altitude with day/night electro-optical sensors.
Radios mesh between units, an aerostat lifts the link above the terrain, and the picture reaches command β with no fixed tower to take out.
Anti-jam, encrypted and mesh-redundant so there is no single point to take out.
Low power, rugged and simple to deploy by the people who actually use it.
Encryption and key management baked in from the silicon up, not bolted on.
This is an early-stage R&D programme. We are an engineering team bringing the same production discipline behind our software to defence technology β for the people defending their country. πΊπ¦
Two things: embedded radio systems β compact, anti-jam, encrypted transceivers and mesh networking β and aerostats, tethered aerial platforms that carry comms relays and sensors high above the terrain.
Altitude solves two problems at once. An elevated relay extends radio range far beyond ground line-of-sight, and the same platform provides persistent surveillance β without the cost and vulnerability of satellites or crewed aircraft.
They use frequency-hopping and anti-jam waveforms, encrypted self-healing mesh networking, and low-SWaP hardware, so links stay up in a contested electromagnetic environment and degrade gracefully rather than failing outright.
This is an early-stage research and development programme. We are an engineering team applying the same production discipline behind our software products to defence technology β and we are building it in support of Ukraine.
